Our Vision Statement

Reaching Families, Restoring Generations, Replicating Faith

By God’s grace, we desire to become a deeply connected spiritual family that seeks truth together, loves one another well, and helps each other follow Jesus faithfully. Rooted in Scripture and dependent on the Lord, we aim to multiply disciple-makers and shepherding leaders who bring the hope and love of Christ to our community and beyond.

Since 1966 Faith Church has felt strongly that the Lord Jesus has established us to reach Manitowoc County and beyond with the good news—found in God’s Word—of His love for and grace toward each person. Over the years we have seen God working in and through us (no matter what we have faced) to bring us to this place where we are seeking to move together for a greater impact in helping families of all shapes and sizes put Jesus in the center of their lives.

The current reality of our community is heartbreaking. Fewer and fewer people are making involvement in a church family a priority. The numbers don’t lie. According to “The American Beliefs Study” (dated February 2, 2026), activity in a religious congregation or community in our county is down by almost 9% from 2021-2025, and only 12% of our population[1] attend a Bible centered evangelical church.[2] That means, just in our county, there are approximately 72,000 people who are not living in the truth and don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus. And—again—the number of those who know Jesus as their personal Savior and put Him in the center of their lives is declining!

Imagine that by 2031, the Lord has shaped the Faith Church community into a spiritually thriving and multiplying family—deeply rooted in truth, pursuing spiritual depth, and loving one another with genuine and pure love. Imagine the Lord using us to reverse the tide of spiritual decline in our county and to restore lives and families through the spread of His gospel of grace and intentional disciple-making which he has called us to (Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:15-18). Imagine that our Savior would help us love Him and each other as we develop shepherding leaders who help those they guide faithfully follow Jesus and join His mission.

This vision demands that every person the Lord brings into our Faith Church family be invited to join our “all-play culture,” where everyone can know they are being used by Jesus to make a difference for Him in the lives of others.

We must act now because many of the deepest struggles people face today—loneliness, shallow faith, struggling families, burnout, lack of purpose, limited spiritual growth, etc.—cannot be solved through clinics, formulas, easy fixes, or anything outside of God’s way. Jesus has given to people His Word, His Spirit, and His Church to help anyone who comes to Him heal and be whole. It is our calling, as His household (His family, His church), to be the pillar and support of this truth.

If we pursue this vision, could it be possible that we would see 1000 new families where Jesus has used us to reach them with His truth. Could the Lord use us to restore 200 new families to be healthy and honoring to Him? Could we see where we are used by our Lord to help 100 people become dream disciples[3] by the Faith Church family replicating our faith into the lives of others? Might the Lord use us to build into each leader’s heart the heart of a shepherd as we seek after the Chief Shepherd. And would God allow us to see an actual increase in religious activity[4] in our county because He used us to that end?

For we know that God deeply loves the more than 72,000 people around us who do not yet know Him or walk in His truth—and He deeply loves His church family as well. May He make us instruments of His grace to reverse the trend of spiritual decline in our county: caring for one another deeply while also carrying the hope, truth, and love of Christ to the lost all around us.
